This Week in Sports

After scouring the web to come up with a story or two to go under "Things I liked:," I just can't find anything. Someone help me out? Post a link to a sports story you liked during the last week.

Things I didn't like:
  • Sports news has been pretty quiet lately
  • The NHL playoffs seem to be lopsided with the current series at 3-0 (games), 2-0, 2-0 and 2-1. Both one seeds are losing.
  • Cam Newton went #1 in the NFL draft. Apparently being a dishonest loser works in his favor. Maybe "loser" isn't the best choice of word there...

Things that surprised me:
  • Interesting stat - in the NBA, if you are up 2-0 in a best of 7 series, historically your team wins the series 94% of the time. It looks like the Heat are going to make it to the Eastern Conference Championship - they're beating Boston 2-0 currently.
  • Rashard Mendenhall made an ass of himself on Twitter on Monday. I totally understand the sentiment he tried to express questioning whether people should celebrate someone being killed, but he said it sooo terribly.
